Regional Educational and Psychological Counselling Center in Vyškov
Our counseling centre offers services for a wide range of clients especially children from preschool age (3 years), through school age until young adulthood (26 years), their parents and teachers. The service is free of charge.
Preschool age
Young children from 3 to 6 years usually come to our centre for recommendation whether they are ready for school or not. We are able to help parents who need advice concerning their children’s unusual behavior, adaptation or emotional problems.
School age
Pupils visit our counseling centre mostly because of their educational problems at school. We provide assessment determining special educational needs, especially learning disabilities (reading, writing and mathematical disorders). Our procedures consists of psychological and pedagogical assessments leading to determining the children’s educational needs and offering advice on how to help your children or students at school and at home. We help in finding ways to develop the potential of gifted children. We also specialize in behavioral disorders, such as ADHD (attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder). We provide advice on choosing a profession or study programs.
What to do if you need our help?
- contact us by mail or by phone
- describe the difficulties
- tell us your children’s personal data (date of birth, home address, school, parents’ names, and phone number)
- we will contact you by mail or by phone in 14 days and inform you about the date and time of your visit
- counseling service will be provided only with a written consent of the client (legal representative)
- diagnostic services usually take place in the morning, other counseling activities in the afternoon
- client's personal data are protected by law
